Experience
My love for photography started many many years ago with 12 years of experience to date. It seems like the dark ages, but I was formally trained in film (what’s that? Seems like light years ago!). I have since self taught my self in digital media. While I miss the comforts and smells of the my long lost love the dark room. I do however have a huge appreciation and love for digital photography and the freedom this media allows.
Where it all began
I really have a horrible memory of events. This has always bothered me feeling as though I will lose special moments in my life. I do however have a distinct memory from when I was around 14 on a house boat in the middle of Lake Powell. The sun was setting over the mountains creating the most beautiful silhouettes. I never wanted to forget that and snapping that photo, I never have. I feel it was that moment I realized that this photography thing was for me.
Twists and Turns
My career took a turn for a time to Interior Design. This gives me a unique prospective on compositions and aesthetics. I understand the effects color, line, perspectives and angles have on the feeling of a scene. Bottom line, I like making things look pretty and taking pictures of it!
Inspiration
It’s not that hard to find inspiration around me. I am a proud mommy of two amazingly beautiful babies. One boy and one girl, I am so blessed. I love capturing their laughter, their growth and all those moments in between I never want to forget.
Hometown
Raised in Southern California, the stunning landscapes from the mountains to the beach to the desert always screamed at me to be photographed. I love working with all the elements of this world.
Philosophy
My photographic philosophy is part real unleashed emotion, part posed set ups together creating a spectacular moment. I hope you enjoy looking through my website as I have had many wonderful experiences gathering these moments in this “job” of mine.
